Aurora, IL –December 17, 2006 – Scoutware, the collegiate athletic industry leader in recruiting communications, were exhibitors at the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) convention held December 12-16 in Omaha, Nebraska.
The annual convention was organized by AVCA and held in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball National Championships. This year’s event drew record numbers of attendees to both the convention as well as semi-final and final matches. Three out of four teams at the championships – UCLA, Stanford, and Washington use Scoutware as their recruiting communication tool of choice.
At the convention, Scoutware partnered with University Athlete, a leading recruiting event software application used by volleyball coaches, to host an information booth and conduct product demonstrations of how the two systems work together to organize recruiting information. Scoutware currently has over 60 women’s volleyball clients, most of whom also utilize the University Athlete application at tournaments and other events. In addition, Scoutware staff, which included President Jeff Murphy, Amanda Carmichael and Wes Talman, both Directors of Client Services, organized several informal coaching receptions after the day’s convention activities.
“This was by far the best convention we have been to this year,” said Carmichael. “In terms of the number of coaches that we saw and the buzz that circulated about what Scoutware has been able to do with University Athlete, it was more than we could have asked for.”
Scoutware and University Athlete entered into a strategic partnership in 2006, which allows for current Scoutware users to seamlessly import information from their University Athlete account into their Scoutware database in real-time, making recruiting information available to coaches at all times.
