Aurora, IL – April 2007 – Scoutware, the collegiate athletic industry leader in recruiting communications, was an exhibitor at the Women’s Basketball Coaching Association convention held this month in Cleveland, Ohio.

The WBCA National Convention is held annually in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship, and has become one of the marquee events centered around an action packed weekend showcasing the best in women’s college basketball.

As part of this year’s event, members of the Scoutware team not only maintained an information booth, but for the first time ever, hosted one-on-one and small group training sessions with several college coaches and staff who currently use Scoutware as their recruiting communication tool. Over the course of the four day long weekend, which included two days at the Convention hall, Scoutware staff members conducted trainings with more than twenty-five coaches.

“The WBCA Convention does a great job of bringing together coaches for professional development and networking, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet with our clients face-to-face to show them exactly how they can use Scoutware to make a difference in their recruiting. The overwhelming responses we received from coaches were extremely positive and it was encouraging to see coaches excited about using Scoutware in new ways,” noted staff member Kate Cronin, who used Scoutware herself as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont.

Also as part of the weekend festivities, Scoutware President Jeff Murphy along with staff members Amanda Carmichael, Kate Cronin, Robyn Danahy and Jennifer Kick hosted a coaches’ reception Sunday night at the Renaissance Hotel after the semi-final games, which was attended by over seventy coaches and friends of Scoutware.

Scoutware currently makes an impact with more than 100 women’s college basketball programs including Final Four participant, the University of North Carolina. In addition, Scoutware has been the preferred e-mail/communication partner of the WBCA since 2006, and the WBCA is active in using Scoutware to promote a variety of initiatives including: 'Think Pink,' the new WBCA Superlatives program, as well as sending out its quarterly ‘Compliance Corner’ e-newsletter and other press releases.
