Aurora, IL – January 2008 – Scoutware, the collegiate athletic industry leader in recruiting communications, was a recent attendee and exhibitor at the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Convention held January 3-6th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The convention brought together coaches from all levels of college baseball, and featured four days of clinics, speakers and awards and exhibitors. During the convention’s exhibit hours, Scoutware hosted an information booth and conducted one-on-one training sessions with several current clients and more than twenty coaches, representing programs such as the University of New Orleans, Baylor University, Dartmouth College, West Virginia University and more.
One coach who took part in a training session was Bucknell University Assistant Coach Scott Heather. “Scoutware has been a tremendous tool for us both financially and for time management. Having the online questionnaire put names directly into our Scoutware database has made it easier to transfer our entire recruiting efforts into Scoutware. Every time a recruit fills out the questionnaire, we save the program money and that makes Scoutware cost productive for us.”
In addition, “Scoutware has as much potential in helping raise money as it does in assisting in recruiting. It has helped us stay in touch with alumni and friends of the program on a more frequent basis and we have seen a jump in our fundraising numbers.”
While also at the convention, Scoutware staff members hosted a private event at the Field House Pub, located within the Convention Center. In total, more than 120 coaches came out to enjoy food and drinks and network amongst their peers.
