Jeff Murphy, Founder and CEO
Scoutware is Jeff’s brainchild. He has taken Scoutware from a simple idea to the development of our first beta client, Northwestern men’s basketball in 2001, to today, where Scoutware has grown to 175 schools and over 750 individual sites. Jeff originally started thinking about Scoutware as pitcher on the University of San Diego baseball team. Jeff then went on to a career as internet and systems architect for IBM, UBS and Motorola. While at IBM, Jeff worked with both Cathy Talman and Rex Hall, the three of whom would then go on to build and design every aspect of Scoutware’s infrastructure. Jeff believes strongly that technology only works if it’s easy to use and it makes a difference.
